Artist Biography

Nicole Hunziker-Basler is a Fine Art Nature and Landscape Photographer based in Summerland, British Columbia.

Originally from Switzerland, her love for photography began at an early age while traveling across Europe with her family and has evolved into a lifelong pursuit of capturing the natural world.

Now living in the heart of the Okanagan, Nicole finds endless inspiration in the landscapes that surround her. Her work reflects both grand vistas and intimate scenes, often created using long exposures, stacked filters, and techniques like Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) to evoke a painterly, dreamlike quality.

Nicole is primarily self-taught and has honed her skills through years of capturing the natural world around her, but also has taken workshops with professional photographers.

Nicole is honored to be mentored by Jim Brompton, an internationally acclaimed Fine Art Photographer and recipient of MPI’s Mentorship Award. His guidance has been instrumental in her transition from passionate hobbyist to professional artist.

With the support of her husband and a growing base of collectors and admirers, emerging artist Nicole Hunziker-Basler is now expanding her business and seeking new venues to showcase and sell her work.
